quietboard

QuietBoard is a high performance acoustic insulation product designed to combat airborne noise transmission through internal stud walls.

It is a composite board and consists of cementitious and plasterboard layers separated by a polymeric core layer. The product has high impact resistance, takes paint and plaster finishes well and can accept screws, nails and other fixings.

Applications

QuietBoard is used to upgrade masonry for lightweight block and partition walls to meet the requirements of Part E for separating walls. It can also be used for lightweight partitions to give a high acoustic performance level to meet both Part E and BB93 standards. Furthermore, QuietBoard can be utilised in fire-rated ceiling constructions to give Part E compliant sound insulations through separating floors.

QuietBoard can be applied in acoustic enclosures, casings and housings for noisy equipment such as pumps and other machinery. It is also recommended that these types of enclosures should be lined with CMS Class O acoustic foam.

For flooring applications, QuietBoard is an ideal solution for increasing sound insulation of timber floors, when used in conjunction with the Regupol range - exclusive to CMS Acoustic Solutions. When used with a Regupol product, QuietBoard can provide a solution to both airborne and impact sound problems which are inherent in timer floors.
