Expansion delivers enhanced service for CMS Acoustics
The UK's leading independent acoustic product distributor, CMS Acoustic Solutions, is set to widen the reach of its next day service with the launch of a new central distribution centre. From 1 December 2005, all nationwide clients will benefit from the option of immediate dispatch, thanks to the larger number of materials which can be held in stock.
Through a worldwide network of manufacturing partners, CMS delivers an unrivalled range of construction, industrial and anti vibration solutions. This includes the leading acoustic floor system, Regupol, as well as CMS-manufactured products. By increasing the amount of stock which can be stored, CMS will also be able to expand the number of products in its portfolio.
CMS managing director, Lee Hackett, comments: "Bigger contractors and merchants need next day delivery, very often in large quantities. To provide these clients with a consistent and reliable service, we need to hold a significant stock reserve on site. The additional distribution space will enable us to do this, and allow us to further enhance our product offering across the board."
The new purpose built centre will make a total of 25,000 sq ft of space available and provide a central point to service UK distribution. Plans are already underway to replicate the model as a southern operation at the Colchester site next year.
