Regupol 7210C delivers high performance at Sportcity
Leading acoustic solutions provider, CMS Acoustics, has helped Countryside Properties exceed minimum Part E requirements at its Sportcity development, by specifying Regupol 7210C as an underscreed acoustic solution for the new build apartment project.
CMS was commissioned to provide sound insulation advice after an incompatibility issue with a specific acoustic material was raised. It was identified that the original material was better suited to a sand and cement solution, not the free flowing screed installed at Sportcity.
Assessing the project's needs, CMS specified Regupol 7210C, a cost-effective acoustic solution designed for new build apartments. Manufactured from recycled rubber, this high performance under screed product isolates floors from impact sound.
Peter Redgewell, technical standards manager at Countryside Properties, comments: "The issue was highlighted in the middle of the Christmas period, but CMS was still able to turn around a solution in a matter of weeks. On top of this, the performance level of Regupol 7210C exceeded what had previously been achieved with a pass margin of 11dB airborne and 15dB impact."
CMS Acoustics managing director, Lee Hackett, concludes: "We believe CMS works with an unrivalled range of products, which means we can specify the most appropriate acoustic solution whether it's for a new build residential development or bespoke architectural project."
