CMS bridges acoustic gap with SoundCradle

CMS Acoustic Solutions, the UK’s leading independent provider of acoustic products, has launched SoundCradle, a new Part E compliant impact sound solution. Approved for Robust Detail (RD) Type FFT2, this unique cradle and batten floor system can be built up to an optimum height of 540mm.

Created using recycled, sustainable and standard building products, SoundCradle is an environmentally sound and cost effective solution.

CMS Acoustics managing director, Lee Hackett, commented: “SoundCradle is a flexible addition to the CMS Acoustics portfolio. It is a unique system because it can be used with a wide range of voids, and offers a cost effective solution to what can sometimes be a challenging acoustic problem.”

SoundCradle is easily adjustable to accommodate various service requirements, including uneven floor surfaces and stairs. A combination of cradles and timber supports provides a simple to install system for raised floor designs. The unique interlocking cradle design also enables a vast range of void depths to be achieved.

SoundCradle exceeds the minimum Part E impact sound requirement of 17dB, with a rating of 28dB. It is approved for use with RD floor construction types MF1 (E-FC-1), MF8 (E-FC-2) and SF2 (E-FS:1). SoundCradle is also ideal for precast and beam and block floors.

CMS Acoustics is the UK’s exclusive distributor of the high performance Regupol range, manufactured in Germany by BSW.

All products are distributed from CMS’ distribution centres in Warrington and Colchester, where clients nationwide are already benefiting from the option of immediate dispatch.
