CMS Acoustics Solutions Acquires Wilhams
CMS Acoustic Solutions, the UK's leading independent manufacturer and distributor of acoustic products, has bolstered its industrial acoustic offering with the recent acquisition of Wilhams, an independent manufacturer and supplier of acoustic, fire and thermal insulation materials.
The take-over sees CMS Acoustics expand its portfolio to include a wide range of lagging systems, foams, barriers and panels, as well as damping materials and fibrous insulation products.
Wilhams, which traded for over 30 years, specialised in engineering solutions, and was renowned for supplying bespoke acoustic systems. The firm supplied materials for high profile projects such as McLaren Formula 1, the BBC, Canary Wharf, the London Underground, and Bellway Homes.
Paul Absolon, CMS Acoustics technical director, said: "The take-over means CMS Acoustics can now supply a much wider spectrum of materials, which includes specialised foams, and multi-layer, multi-barrier type acoustic systems."
