Regupol 7210C 'Weastes' no time in reducing impact sound
As part of the development of two new build apartment blocks at Weaste old bus depot in Salford, Abbotsound Developments selected Regupol 7210C and Regupol studwork isolating strips to attenuate impact sound and ensure the project exceeds the requirements of Part E, 2003.
Regupol 7210C delivers excellent impact sound insulation of 46dB and acoustic airborne performance of 49dB. Compatible with all types of floor screeds, this high performance underscreed provides a flexible isolation system for any development.
At Weaste old bus depot, Regupol 7210C was used with a free flowing screed. Covering an area of 12,000m², Regupol 7210C was installed to minimise impact sound generated by footfall in over 200 apartments and all communal corridors.

Supplied in easy to handle sheets, Regupol 7210C is quick and simple to install. Additionally, being manufactured from recycled rubber, the material is an environmentally friendly solution.
Used in conjunction with Regupol 7210C, Regupol studwork isolating strips were installed under the studwork partition to provide greater noise isolation. Both products have minimal creep characteristics and are capable of withstanding high loads. With a guaranteed material thickness of 5mm and 6mm respectively, Regupol 7210C sheets and Regupol studwork isolating strips ensure construction heights are minimised.
