Regupol 6010HT takes centre stage at Leeds Grand Theatre
Irwins Ltd has installed Regupol 6010HT, a high performing polyurethane (PUR) bound rubber granulate material at Leeds Grand Theatre. Designed to isolate and dampen noise in all critical and non critical areas, CMS Acoustics supplied Regupol 6010HT for use on the floor of two new build rehearsal rooms.
To accurately reflect how live performances would sound, Leeds Grand Theatre required its rehearsal rooms to replicate the main stage in terms of shape, seating and acoustic quality. CMS Acoustics was called in to identify an acoustic flooring solution that was firm, yet flexible enough to deliver some feedback.
Chosen for its ability to retain acoustic properties throughout a long and maintenance free lifespan, CMS Acoustics specified Regupol 6010HT with a tempered hardboard finish.
Supplied in rolls of 10m x 1.25m x 15mm thick, 600 square metres of Regupol 6010HT was laid over an insulation material.

Regupol 6010HT can be provided in rolls, pads or strips of various dimensions. The product can also withstand loads of 0.25N/mm² and is fully recycled and recyclable.
David Holder, director of CMS Acoustics, explains: “It was imperative that we were able to replicate the acoustic properties of the main stage in the rehearsal rooms. By thinking outside the box and bespoking the standard Regupol 6010HT material to fit this unusual application, we were able to meet these requirements.”
