CMS Acoustics reflects upon superior acoustics
CMS Acoustic Solutions has expanded its interior walls and ceilings portfolio, with the addition of the Kinetics diffusion and reflection solutions. Incorporating sound absorptive and reflective wall panels, the Kinetics range can be used to create high frequency clarity in large performance spaces, or control reverberation times in high cubic volume areas, such as swimming pools and sports halls.
Suitable for use in areas with high ceilings such as gymnasiums, swimming pools and arenas, Kinetics Wave Baffles provide a cost effective solution to improve acoustics and reduce reverberation times. Two types of wave baffle are available, consisting of a fibreglass blanket encapsulated in a sewn sailcloth fabric, with either a woven scrim backer (type SE) or a heat sealed vinyl covering on both sides (Type HB).
Designed for horizontal suspension in a wave-like form at ceiling level, wave baffles can be engineered to create the desired amount of vertical drop between suspension points. Moreover, the wave baffles can be face finished on both sides and hung vertically as an acoustic banner.
For large performance areas that require enhanced listening quality, Kinetics Ovation Reflector Panels can be designed and positioned to direct sound to the audience. Constructed of a plywood core coated with a fibre-reinforced gel, the curved panels can be ceiling suspended, wall mounted or built on a retractable frame to allow horizontal orientation of the reflector. Available in a wide choice of gel coat colours and wood finishes, the panels have been specifically designed for use in auditoriums, lecture halls, performing arts centres and worship spaces.
