Regupol 6010BA Delivers Premium Acoustic Insulation for Exclusive One Hyde Park Development
Regupol 6010BA, the high performance acoustic screed isolation system from CMS Acoustic Solutions, has been specified for One Hyde Park in London – the UK’s most exclusive apartment scheme. Selected for its superior sound insulation performance and sustainable credentials, Regupol 6010BA is currently being installed at the premium development by specialist subcontractor, Mivan.
Manufactured in Germany by BSW, Regupol 6010BA is a highly sustainable acoustic product. Made from recycled tyre crumb, it offers zero Global Warming Potential (GWP) and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). Significantly exceeding the maximum Part E requirement of 62dB, Regupol 6010BA can achieve impact sound values as low of 38dB, making it ideal for the isolation of floor screeds in luxury new build apartments.
One Hyde Park comprises four high-rise ‘pavilions’, named A to D, with four apartments on each pavilion floor. Acoustic consultants, Alan Saunders Associates, specified Regupol 6010BA for all apartments, with the material controlling impact sound in areas where a stone or marble floor finish was to be used. Throughout the entire scheme, this will see approximately 16,000m2 of Regupol 6010BA installed.
On-site now, Mivan is responsible for the installation of Regupol 6010BA on pavilions A and D. Alastair Ley, senior site manager, Mivan, comments: “Part of the site brief was to complete the installation as efficiently as possible, to enable the developer to hand over all apartments at the same time. As well as offering excellent acoustic performance, Regupol 6010BA is proving extremely easy to work with, which makes the installation procedure simple and efficient – allowing us to make excellent progress on-site.”
As a high load bearing product, Regupol 6010BA delivers excellent impact and airborne performance while withstanding loads of up to 50kN/m2. Offering long term performance without risk of collapse under high point loads, Regupol 6010BA is also resistant to ageing and deformation, which means it will continue to deliver superior sound insulation for the lifetime of its installation.

A flexible specification, Regupol 6010BA is also suitable for controlling impact sound in schools, hospitals, hotels, libraries and retail units. It can also be used beneath wooden based floors and areas of sensitivity, such as gymnasium floors.
