SuperPhon Hi -mpact panelsCMS Acoustics Launches SuperPhon Hi-Impact

Expanding its range of high performance acoustic treatments for walls, CMS Acoustic Solutions has launched CMS SuperPhon Hi-Impact, an acoustically absorbent panel system which delivers superior levels of sound absorption, as well as providing impact resistance. With a robust and aesthetically pleasing finish, SuperPhon Hi-Impact panels are ideal for use in high impact areas, such as gymnasiums, sports halls, classrooms and hospitals.

Developed and manufactured by CMS Acoustics, SuperPhon Hi-Impact panels comprise sound absorbent, non-combustible glass fibreboard with a front panel of thermally bonded polyester acoustic fibre and a tough, high-density polyester backing. The panels are finished with an open-weave acoustic fabric covering. SuperPhon Hi-Impact panels improve listening conditions by impeding the transmission of sound through the panel and by absorption of sound at the surface to achieve a sound absorption coefficient of up to 1.0 and sound absorption up to Class A.

Available in a choice of over 40 standard coloured fabric finishes, SuperPhon Hi-Impact panels provide design flexibility and can be used as an attractive feature or focal point. With the additional benefit of Pinguard, SuperPhon Hi-Impact can be used as a pinboard or a display board, adding a functional element to the application. Suitable for new build, or refurbishment projects, the panels are offered in thicknesses of 37mm and 62mm and in sizes up to 3m in height and in widths up to 1.2m.

Quick and easy to install, SuperPhon Hi-Impact panels can be fixed to a wall using non-visible fixing systems including steel wall fixing plates, or fabric covered metal strips fixed between top and bottom ‘U’ channels. Installing the panels on timber battens, further enhances the acoustic performance of SuperPhon Hi-Impact as this creates an air void for additional sound absorptive properties.

With design flexibility and high impact resistance, CMS SuperPhon Hi-Impact panels complement the existing offerings of high performance wall treatments available from CMS Acoustics. These solutions include Vertiface Composition and the CMS SuperPhon range of wall panels and suspended absorbers.
