CMS Acoustics Launches Innovative Wall-Art Absorbers
CMS Acoustics, the UK’s largest provider of acoustic solutions, has launched ‘Wall-Art Absorbers’, an innovative new range of reverberation control systems. These fully bespoke absorbers have been developed to meet the sound control requirements of environments where effective absorption must be combined with visually stimulating and striking features.
As a fully bespoke solution, Wall-Art Absorbers can be manufactured in any design, shape or colour scheme. Particularly suited to areas occupied by young and infant children, such as nurseries, play groups and classrooms, popular shapes include palm trees, waves, clouds, fruit and animals.
Paul Absolon, technical director, CMS Acoustics, comments: “Controlling reverberation in any area can be somewhat of a challenge, but this is often compounded in environments where there are young and lively children. By offering a fully bespoke absorption solution, we are giving specifiers the flexibility to design practical reverberation control systems that also create bright and stimulating environments for the children.”
Manufactured using CMS Melamine Foam, shapes up to a maximum size of 2.4m x 1.2m can be produced. To further facilitate flexibility in design a choice of fixing systems is available, including ceiling suspension for permanent installations. Temporary installations can also be accommodated, by simply bonding the Wall-Art direct to the wall using a CMS Acoustics approved adhesive.
As a lightweight system weighing just 0.6kg per m2, CMS Wall-Art Absorbers are extremely easy to manage and do not require specialist contractors for installation.
With an operating temperature of up to 295 º C (maximum intermittent), CMS Wall-Art Absorbers can be used in high temperature applications. Moreover, with toxicity of Class A2 (DIN 4102), CMS Wall-Art Absorbers are also suitable for use in medical and pharmaceutical areas, such as children’s hospital wards.
